Contra
Contra is a commission-free freelance marketplace: freelancers build a profile and portfolio, and clients discover and hire them directly for design, web development, content, marketing and AI-related work. There's no application to a specific job — you list yourself and pitch to clients who reach out.
Screening not yet verifiedWe haven't confirmed how Contra decides who gets work, so we're not describing it here. Check their own site before you apply or sign up.

Common questions about Contra
How does Contra screen candidates?
We have not verified how Contra screens candidates, so we do not describe it. That means we haven't confirmed it, not that there is no screening — check Contra's own site before you apply.
Can I work for Contra from outside the United States?
We can't answer that from our own data, because we list no individual Contra openings to read an eligibility rule from. Contra sets its own rules and they can differ between its programmes — check them on Contra's site before you join, rather than assuming this directory's silence means no restriction.
What does Contra pay?
We do not publish a pay figure for Contra, because it has no public per-job listings to read one from. Contra is a programme you join rather than a posted opening you apply to, so there is nothing here we could quote without taking it second-hand.
Do I need a referral to get hired through Contra?
No — Contra assesses you exactly the same way whether you arrive from this site or go there directly. We link through our own referral link and earn a commission if you are hired, which is what funds the directory; it costs you nothing and gives you no advantage. We are not Contra, not an employer and not an agency.
How many Contra jobs are open right now?
We list Contra as a programme rather than as individual openings, because it publishes no per-job feed to read. Members are matched to work after joining instead of applying to a posted listing, so there is no catalogue for us to mirror.
